The AVM-C12 is a preconfigured 12-port matrix network switch designed to support ADDERView Matrix KVM deployments. It provides ten CATx ports and two SFP ports to connect computer access modules and fiber transceivers – enabling long-distance extension. This unit is built for easy, reliable operation and minimal maintenance.
Key features include out-of-the-box IGMP v2 support and snooping plus jumbo frame capability up to 9216 bytes – improving multicast handling and large-packet throughput. The switch supports 1GbE bandwidth on each link and PoE (802.3.AF) on eight ports with a total PoE budget of 125W – delivering power for ZeroU USB powered modules. Switching actions in ADDERView Matrix are fast, under one second, for responsive user experience.
Technical performance focuses on pixel-accurate video delivery using spatially lossless encoding with 1:1 pixel mapping to preserve color fidelity and eliminate artifacts. The platform supports unlimited logical extension distances when paired with fiber via the SFP ports and can extend beyond 100 meters using appropriate optics. The switch is suitable for sustained operation with a maximum power draw of 164 Watts and typical consumption of 18 Watts.
Connectivity is comprehensive with 10 x 8p8c (RJ45) CATx links and 2 x SFP fiber slots – suitable for copper and fiber topologies. Network support includes 1GbE links with backward 10/100 compatibility and multicast optimizations. Control and switching can be performed via on-screen display or keyboard hotkeys as part of the ADDERView Matrix user station interface.
