The AT-OME-SW21-TX is a compact 2×1 switcher and HDBaseT transmitter that consolidates USB-C and HDMI AV inputs, mirrored HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, and an integrated USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub. It is designed to simplify connectivity by carrying video, audio, control, Ethernet, USB 2.0 data, and optional power over a single category cable. The unit supports 4K/UHD signals and HDCP 2.3 compliance for protected content handling.
Key features include a USB-C input that handles AV, USB data, and optional device charging up to 60 watts when paired with an optional power supply. The transmitter provides mirrored local HDMI and long-distance HDBaseT outputs, and supports automatic input selection via hot-plug detect and video detection. A built-in USB hub supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 up to 5 Gbps for local peripherals and USB 2.0 up to 480 Mbps, with a 120 Mbps limit over HDBaseT extension.
Performance specifications include 4K/UHD@60 Hz capability on local ports with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and wide HDR support including HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG. The HDBaseT link carries 4K/UHD@60 Hz using 4:2:0 chroma subsampling up to 330 feet over CAT6/6a/7 or up to 295 feet over CAT5e. The unit manages EDID and HDCP behavior and offers selectable 4K to 1080p downscaling for the HDMI output when required.
Connectivity options cover USB-C, HDMI inputs, mirrored HDMI output and an HDBaseT RJ45 output, plus a USB Type-B host port and two USB Type-A hub ports for peripherals. Control interfaces include TCP/IP and RS-232 and automatic display control over HDBaseT using IP, RS-232, or CEC. Front panel indicators and an LCD display give quick system status and IP information for field troubleshooting.
Typical applications include conference rooms, classrooms, and lecture spaces where a single-cable extension and local confidence monitor are required. The OME-SW21-TX integrates into AV systems that use Omega series receivers, switchers with HDBaseT inputs, or as a standalone transmitter at a lectern or table. The device supports USB-based video conferencing peripherals and can switch two USB hosts alongside AV inputs.
Installation is simplified by support for IEEE 802.3af PoE from compatible Atlona receivers or switchers, and by an optional 24V 5A power supply for local powering and USB-C charging. The low-profile enclosure fits under tables and in furniture, and field-updatable firmware plus Velocity Device Manager support enable centralized management and remote configuration. The design focuses on reliable auto-switching, robust EDID and HDCP handling, and streamlined integration.
