The system supports HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps and enables visually lossless compression with no latency – preserving HDR metadata and high chroma formats. It is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling along with HDR formats such as HDR10. Multi-channel audio formats including Dolby and DTS families are supported end-to-end.
Performance extends HDMI up to 130ft / 40m for 4K HDR and up to 230ft / 70m for 1080p when used with CAT6a/CAT7 cable – distances vary by cable type and resolution. The device accepts a wide range of video formats and color depths up to 12-bit and supports 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0 chroma sampling. Front and rear panel indicators provide link and power status for fast troubleshooting.
Connectivity includes rear-panel HDMI ports and HDBaseT RJ45 ports for low-cost cable runs – the receiver and transmitter are both locally powered. A front-panel USB port enables field-updatable firmware so the units can be updated in-place as features evolve. The extender passes CEC and supports common HDR metadata streams for consumer and professional sources.
