The AT-HDR-EX-100CEA-KIT is an HDBaseT HDMI extender kit designed to extend high dynamic range video and audio over a single category cable. It transmits HDMI, Ethernet pass-through, bidirectional IR and RS-232 control, and a dedicated audio return path up to 330 ft (100 m) over CAT6a/7. The receiver is powered remotely by the transmitter using PoE which simplifies installation at displays and projectors.
The kit supports 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and accepts HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps. It is HDCP 2.2 compliant and passes HDR metadata for HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats – supporting 4K HDR10 at 60 Hz and Dolby Vision at 30 Hz. Visually lossless compression is applied to transport high-bandwidth signals over HDBaseT without introducing latency.
Technical performance includes support for HDMI 2.0, a maximum TMDS clock of 600 MHz, and color depths up to 12-bit. Video formats include 4096×2160@24/25/30/50/60Hz and 3840×2160@24/25/30/50/60Hz, and VESA modes up to 2560×2048. Audio support covers PCM, LPCM up to 7.1, Dolby formats including Dolby Atmos, and DTS formats including DTS:X with sample rates up to 192 kHz and 24-bit audio.
Connectivity options include HDMI input and output, HDBaseT RJ45 links, LAN RJ45, TOSLINK optical input/output for audio return, USB mini ports for firmware updates, and captive-screw ports for RS-232 and IR. The transmitter supplies 48 V DC to the system via a captive screw input and supplies power to the receiver via HDBaseT PoE. Front-panel LEDs and a test button provide link verification and troubleshooting information.
Typical applications include residential AV systems using Ultra HD Blu-ray sources, TV showrooms demonstrating 4K HDR content, and professional AV installations that require detailed 4K graphics or visualization. The unit is suitable for high-quality digital signage and conference room systems where long cable runs and centralized equipment are preferred. It supports integration with control systems through RS-232, IR, CEC, and Ethernet extension.
The kit is built in a low-profile 1 inch (25 mm) quarter-rack enclosure for discreet installation in racks or confined spaces.
