The AT-HDR-CAT-4ED is a 1×4 HDBaseT distribution amplifier that extends HDMI video, audio, control and Ethernet over Category cable. It distributes a single HDMI source to four long-distance HDBaseT outputs plus a local HDMI output. The unit is designed for installations that require 4K/60 4:4:4 and HDR pass-through over extended runs.
The amplifier supports 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and HDR formats including HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. It provides visually lossless compression and zero latency to preserve image quality while extending signals up to 330 ft over CAT6a/7 or up to 230 ft over CAT5e/6 for selected modes. The unit also supports HDCP 2.2 and multi-channel audio pass-through.
Technical performance highlights include a 600 MHz pixel clock, color depths up to 12-bit and support for 4:4:4/4:2:2/4:2:0 chroma subsampling. The AT-HDR-CAT-4ED can de-embed HDMI audio to a balanced analog output with volume control and supports sample rates up to 192 kHz. The system manages EDID between source and displays and features HDBaseT link testing for reliable installations.
Connectivity includes one HDMI input, one HDMI pass-through output for a local monitor and four HDBaseT RJ45 outputs that carry AV, Ethernet, control and PoE to compatible receivers. Control and integration options include bidirectional RS-232, IR pass-through, CEC display control and LAN-based configuration via an integrated web server. The device can remotely power compatible receivers over HDBaseT and is compatible with Atlona Velocity and third-party control systems.
The HDR-CAT-4ED is suited for hospitality, retail, corporate and education environments where long-distance, high-quality 4K HDR distribution is required. It is appropriate for hotel lobbies and digital signage, commercial reception areas and lecture halls where multiple displays need synchronized source distribution. The product supports cascading up to eight units to expand distribution without compromising signal integrity.
Installation is simplified by the 1U half-rack enclosure, included mounting hardware and a universal external power supply. Front-panel LEDs and buttons provide status and EDID control while the web GUI and Velocity Device Manager enable remote configuration and management. The unit is compliant with industry standards and includes link diagnostics, making it reliable and straightforward to deploy in professional AV systems.
