The Atlona Etude Sync is an EDID emulator and HDMI signal integrity device designed to manage EDID and Hot Plug Detect communications between source and sink devices. It provides a stable interface that helps resolve handshake and compatibility issues in HDMI systems. The Etude Sync is aimed at installers and technicians who need reliable signal negotiation and simplified troubleshooting.
The device offers EDID emulation and management, restoring EDID information from either the display or its internal memory. It also emulates +5 volt and Hot Plug Detect signals to restore lost handshaking due to cable faults or legacy sources. These features ensure the source delivers the desired audio formats and video resolutions to the system.
As a 4K/UHD capable device, the Etude Sync supports 4K at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and HDR formats including HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It supports HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps and is HDCP 2.2 compliant for protected content. Multi-channel audio formats including PCM, Dolby Digital family, DTS family, and object-based formats are passed through intact.
Connectivity is simple and direct via HDMI input and output, plus a USB port for firmware updates and USB power. The Etude Sync reports HDCP status at both source and destination using front panel LEDs for +5V, HPD, and HDCP indicators. The unit is USB-powered via the included universal power supply or a local USB source for flexible installation options.
The Etude Sync is useful in residential and commercial installations where newer 4K/HDR sources and displays must be integrated with legacy devices. It is an effective troubleshooting tool to identify and correct handshake problems caused by cabling, terminations, or device incompatibility. Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods.
