The Kramer 900xl is a compact stereo audio power amplifier designed to boost line-level sources into speaker loads. It delivers 10 watts RMS per channel into a 4ohm load while maintaining a small footprint suitable for racks and furniture. The unit provides simple local and remote control options to suit a variety of small AV installations.
Key features include dual analog inputs on RCA and a 3.5mm mini jack and a stereo differential speaker output on a 4-pin terminal block. The amplifier supplies 2x10W continuous output and up to 2x40W music power into 4ohm speakers for short bursts. Front-panel volume and input selection are complemented by RS-232 control for integration with room control systems.
Performance specifications include an input sensitivity of 460mV, a measured bandwidth of 25kHz (-3dB), and a signal-to-noise ratio of 85dB at 1kHz 0dBu. Connectivity covers unbalanced stereo RCA and a 3.5mm mini jack for source devices and a secure 4-pin speaker terminal for wiring speakers. Control is available from the front panel and via RS-232, enabling remote volume and input selection. Power is supplied by a 12V DC 2.0A adapter which is included with the unit.
Typical applications include small meeting rooms, retail audio zones, digital signage audio, and point-of-sale audio where modest amplified output and compact installation are required. The small TOOLS form factor allows placement on a shelf or grouping multiple units in a single 1U rack space using the RK-3T adapter. Its light weight and simple connections reduce installation time and complexity.
