The Wall-Smart in-wall adapter is engineered to house a SONOS Beam sound bar flush with the wall while preserving full access and operation. It conceals the sound bar behind a magnetic grille that maintains acoustic transparency and IR passthrough. The adapter ships unpainted to be finished as part of the wall surface.
Key features include a paintable moisture-resistant MDF frame, acoustic and IR transparent grille cloth, magnetic grille attachment, and knockout options for US or UK electrical backboxes. The grille is available in white or black cloth and offered in Leaves or Rectangles patterns. The unit is designed to preserve high fidelity audio output while keeping the installation visually discrete.
The adapter dimensions are 1080.6mm W x 271.8mm H x 152.8mm D and the assembled weight is 4.3Kg 9.5lbs. The frame is constructed from moisture resistant MDF compliant with TSCA Title VI. The grille fabric is acoustic and IR transparent to avoid degrading audio or remote control signals.
Compatibility is focused on the SONOS Beam sound bar and common US/UK backboxes – UK BS4662 2 Gang or equivalent and HUBBELL Racobox 420 or equivalent for the US. Knockouts in the back of the wall adapter permit direct installation of those backboxes; for EU/IL installations use the alternative EU/IL model. The adapter permits straightforward insertion and removal of the Beam for service or adjustment.
Typical applications include residential home theaters, living room installations, corporate AV zones, and retail/restaurant audio where a hidden aesthetic is required without compromising sound quality. The adapter supports high fidelity audio installations where flush aesthetics and IR control are required. It is suitable for new builds and renovation projects where the sound bar must be integrated into the wall plane.
Installation is designed for standard 1/2″ drywall and follows common drywall construction procedures. The adapter is supplied unassembled and unpainted to be finished on-site to match wall texture and color. The magnetic grille attaches easily and removes for maintenance while the moisture resistant MDF provides durable long-term performance.
