The WS RETROFIT Uni-INwall L is an in-wall retrofit adapter designed to mount AV devices nearly flush to the wall while maintaining easy access and ventilation. It accommodates devices up to 410x335x84mm and secures them in a shallow recessed cavity that keeps the installed unit close to the wall surface. The adapter is built to support standard switch boxes and common conduit and keystone options for professional AV installations.
Key features include a shallow 4mm on-wall cover that sits nearly flush, a magnetic cover attachment for quick removal, and hidden ventilation grilles to maintain airflow. The cover is supplied painted white to match common interiors and to provide a finished appearance immediately after installation. The adapter also accepts a range of board thicknesses so installers can match local wall constructions.
Technical details include support for board thicknesses from 10mm up to 19mm and internal dimensions that accept devices up to 410x335x84mm. The adapter body dimensions are 386.2mm W by 460.7mm H by 102mm D, and the unit weight is 2.7Kg. Materials are moisture resistant MDF compliant with TSCA Title VI for stable long-term performance in typical interior environments.
The Uni-INwall L supports integration of a Hubbell-Raco 420 switch box or equivalent, and it ships with inner interchangeable side plates to accept keystone inserts and conduit connectors. Inner plates provide capacity for up to four keystone inserts and conduit connector sizes of 1/2 in, 3/4 in, and 1 in. The design allows straightforward cable access and neat termination without modifying the device being mounted.
Typical applications include mounting touchpanels, network hubs, media players, or control systems in meeting rooms, classrooms, or public spaces where a low-profile aesthetic is required. The nearly flush face is ideal where a discreet installation is desired while still allowing device removal for maintenance. The magnetic cover and removable adapters simplify service and device swaps in busy AV facilities.
