The Wall-Smart new construction in-wall adapter provides a secure flush mounting solution for in-wall thermostats. It is designed to integrate the thermostat body into 1/2 inch drywall while keeping the device accessible for operation. The adapter ships unpainted so it can be finished as part of the surrounding wall for a seamless appearance.
Key features include a paintable moisture-resistant MDF construction and a low-profile design that holds the thermostat flush with the wall. The adapter allows easy insertion and removal of the thermostat for service or inspection. A remote temperature sensor is required for proper thermostat operation and should be connected independently.
Technical details include an overall footprint sized at 212mm x 162mm and a depth of 33.2mm to fit common thermostat enclosures. The adapter has no power supply and functions as a mechanical mounting solution only. Weight is light at approximately 1.65 lbs, and the material is compliant moisture-resistant MDF in accordance with TSCA Title VI.
Compatibility is focused on Savant-style thermostat installations and it is intended to accept the CLI-W200 thermostat profile. For concrete or block wall installations a dedicated concrete box P/N 10-01-072 is specified and installed per instruction 10-04-00103-INS. Installation procedures follow standard drywall construction practices and reference installation instruction 10-04-00101-INS.
