The Wall-Smart new construction adapter provides a flush in-wall mounting solution for low-voltage faceplates and Horizon devices. This adapter secures a compatible faceplate in a finished wall surface while remaining paint-ready to blend with room finishes. It is supplied unpainted and is intended to be finished as part of the wall.
Key features include a depth calibration mechanism for precise alignment, a flush-mount profile that sits level with drywall, and a paintable surface for any color or texture. The adapter is designed for secure attachment and allows easy insertion and removal of the faceplate and devices. It contains no electronics or power supply – it is a manual mechanical mounting adapter.

Connectivity and compatibility are mechanical in nature – the adapter is engineered specifically to accept the matching faceplate and low-voltage Horizon devices. The adapter is compatible only with the designated faceplate model and does not include the faceplate or the devices. For concrete or block wall installation, a dedicated concrete box P/N 100-1-813 is required and sold separately.
Typical applications include new construction and retrofit AV installations where a flush, finished wall appearance is required. It is suitable for residential, commercial, and corporate AV spaces where Horizon low-voltage devices are deployed. The paintable finish ensures the mount integrates visually with architectural finishes and décor.
Installation follows standard drywall construction practices and is straightforward for experienced installers – read the Wall-Smart installation instruction 10-04-00101-INS before beginning. For 5/8 in drywall use a 1/8 in shim pack P/N 10-01-067 to achieve proper fit and alignment. For concrete or block wall installations follow instruction 10-04-00103-INS and use the WS Concrete Box 202×250 P/N 100-1-813.
